Events

In addition to producing media and arts content, Bridge Arts Media also provides events production services and often does so in association with c3: Center for Conscious Creativity.  BAM programs content, hosts, produces and sponsors workshops, screenings, lectures, panels, concerts, book signings, conferences etc. for both individuals and organizations.

Through a collaborative partnership with Vortex Immersion Media www.vorteximmersion.com, Bridge Arts Media maintains offices at Los Angeles Center Studios www.lacenterstudios.com and has access to the studios’s excellent facilities and the Vortex Dome Studio/Venue.  Events and workshops can be held in various conference room spaces, the Vortex Dome and in the Studio’s 395 seat screening room/theatre.  Visit www.c3so.com for information about the annual event produced by Kate McCallum and c3 called STATE OF THE ARTS.

c3: Center for Conscious Creativity produced the annual STATE OF THE ARTS: PRODUCING CHANGE event in September 2011 in partnership with the PGA: Producers Guild of America.  The event was held at LA Center Studios and featured a panel of producers utilizing new media technologies for socially benefical causes.  The first FUTUREVISION award was given to Writer/Creator Tim Kring for creating CONSPIRACY FOR GOOD on online ARG game created to raise funds for libraries in Africa www.conspiracyforgood.org.   The event was preceded by a think tank session held in the Vortex Dome with Futurist Jerome Glenn, Executive Director of The Millennium Project....

In August 2011 the c3: Center for Conscious Creativity collaborated with Michael Weise Productions to present the first THE FUTURE OF STORY conference. The 2011 event brought together some of the best-selling screenwriting authors/teachers in the industry.  This dynamic conference was designed to help you take an objective look at both yourself and your professional skill sets as you polish and target your stories for film, television, and print. Mindfulness, Neuroscience and Creativity:  An Interactive Exploration  Join us at UCLA’s MARC for a special event where we bring together artists, musicians, media makers, meditators, and neuroscientists for a half day exploring the interface of mindfulness and creativity. The day will include musical performances, meditations, a discussion on the neuroscience of creativity, a digital “animeditation,” Tibetan singing bowls, and personal creative expression. We will specifically examine the effects of meditation on creativity, art, and the brain. About the Instructors: Dr. Robert Builder is a Clinical Neuropsychologist who has been actively engaged for over 20 years in research on the neuroanatomic and neuropsychological bases of major mental illnesses. He has received many awards for his research contributions, served on diverse federal and international advisory boards, provided editorial service to many scholarly journals, and received multiple grants from the NIH, private foundations, and industry. Kate McCallum is a transmedia producer, writer and artist who has had the good fortune of a diverse career in the creative arts and entertainment industries for over thirty years. With a degree in Communications and Music from Western Michigan University, she began her career in the business as a page at ABC where she worked on such shows as Mork and Mindy, Taxi, General Hospital, The Academy Awards, The Emmy Awards, and The American Music Awards. Jahna Perricone has been practicing mindfulness for over 5 years. She is a holistic music and voice teacher who utilizes the gifts of a mindfulness practice and her education in vocal muscle systems to stimulate creativity in her music, her students and her work at Omstream.com, the number one conscious world music download store. Michael Perricone is a sound engineer, musician, television writer and the founder of Omstream, an online music portal similar to iTunes, but specifically for traditional and world music. His writing credits include two episodes of Star Trek: Voyager all written with collaborator Greg Elliot. Diana Winston is the Director of Mindfulness Education at MARC and has been teaching mindfulness since 1993. c3: VisionLAB 2010 STATE OF THE ARTS

STATE OF THE ARTS 2010 was premiered in June of 2010 as a participant in the LA Opera’s RINGFEST LA.  The day long symposium was held at LA Center Studios and featured five panels of media and arts professionals discussing the future of arts and entertainment and their power to create a better future.  A variety of new media technologies were showcased along with a performance of BELLA GAIA in the Vortex Dome.  OVATION TELEVISION was the key sponsor of the event.  Kate McCallum Executive Produced the event and served as a speaker and moderator.  http://www.c3so.com/soa-2010.html...
